WHAT DO YOU DO AT CAPTAINU?
My job is to give you what you need! I do a little bit of everything here, whether that’s
responding to your support emails or talking to you 1on1. It’s my job to help you build
the best profile and help you form relationships with college coaches. I’m here to give
you the tools to make that possible!
DID YOU PLAY SPORTS IN COLLEGE?
I rowed for four years at Princeton University on the open women’s team and loved it! I
was fortunate enough to find a team that pushed me to be my best, but also supported
me along the way. I started rowing in high school and went through the college recruiting process, so I know its not easy to find that perfect match!
TALK ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION & BACKGROUND:
I grew up in Minnesota (make fun of the accent all you want!) and cheese curds (the fried kind) are one of my favorite foods. After graduating from Princeton University with a degree in sociology I moved out to Denver to teach. After a couple years of teaching I decided I wanted to get back into the world of sports. Helping young athletes achieve their dreams of playing in college was the perfect fit!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO OUTSIDE OF CAPTAINU?
Anything active! You can find me making left turns around the track, going on long hikes, falling down the mountains on a snowboard in the winter, checking out new restaurants, and making quick trips around the country on the weekends.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PIECE OF ADVICE FOR CAPTAINU ATHLETES?
Take charge! Fill out your profile and consistently update it with your most recent
information. Be proactive and reach out to colleges don’t just wait for them to come to you!
ANY LAST THOUGHTS?
Get excited about this process!! Playing sports in college is a once in a lifetime
opportunity so go with it and make the most out of it.
